Young Violin Program
The Young Violin Program is designed for students aged 4 to 8 to start
instrumental music instruction with a violin. While studies have shown that
students learn their music best when they start their instruction between the
ages of 4 and 12. . While this is not Suzuki Violin Training, it is based on the
principles of the Suzuki Training. We will require that the parent and the
student
each have an instrument, participate in the lessons together and practice
together through out the week. This class will have two components to it – the
semi-private (2 students with their parent) lesson for 20-30 minutes depending
on the student’s age and a 30-minute group lesson each week. There will be 34
weeks of lessons and several opportunities to perform for the other OHMI
students. The cost is
$415.00 for the
year per student/parent team – this works out to be about
$8.30 each
week for 50 minutes of instruction. Since this is a pilot program, we need at
least 8 student/parent teams to make this program run for the year. If you are
interested, please fill out the form attached.
